Empire Fiber Co
Superior & Safe Dairy Bedding

Welcome to Empire Fiber Co., where we blend innovation with sustainability to redefine bedding for cows

Our
Mission

Our mission is simple: to provide an eco-friendly, comfortable, and healthy bedding solution for dairy farms and cattle ranches. Empire Fiber Co.’s unique bedding is made from high-quality, recycled paper, offering a plethora of benefits for both your cows and
the environment.

Our Product

Made by mixing the byproduct of two local manufacturers. We combine the short fibers from recycled waste paper, previously sent to the landfill, with the dust from coal-fired dolomitic lime kilns. While the paper byproduct is relatively high in moisture, adding the high pH lime kiln dust acts as both a drying and bacteria-killing agent. Our bedding provides a cost-effective alternative to sawdust or straw. Cow comfort is similar to, if not preferred over, sand.

01

Healthier for Cows

At Empire Fiber Co., the well-being of your cows is our top priority. Our bedding, made from soft, recycled paper, ensures a comfortable and safe resting place. This leads to healthier cows and, potentially, increased milk production.

03

Exceptional Absorbency

The high absorbency of our paper bedding keeps your cows dry and comfortable, enhancing their living conditions and maintaining a hygienic barn environment.

02

Pre-Limed

Our paper bedding comes pre-limed, offering a natural way to control pH levels. This helps maintain a more sanitary environment, reducing the risk of ammonia build-up and bacterial growth, thereby promoting the health and well-being of your
cattle.

Long Lasting

Application

More absorbent than straw and sawdust, Empire Fiber is easy to handle and spread. Our bedding is suitable for mats, mattresses, loose-housed and deep bed cubicles, and robotic systems. Empire Bedding is also great for tie stall and free stall barns. We offer a worry-free, cost-effective product that will help keep your cows healthy and comfortable. Empire Bedding is the cleanest and safest bedding that you can use.

01

Mats & Mattresses

You should generally apply 5-6 pounds of bedding per cow, per day. Our bedding stays on mats and mattresses, limiting dust and airborne free radicals.

02

Deep & Shallow Beds

Empire Fiber can be applied to existing straw or sand beds. Apply around 5-6 pounds of bedding per cow, per day, to an existing deep or shallow bed.

03

Loose-Housed

Mix Empire Fiber with existing bedding or use it on its own. You can use the bedding as an underlay to prolong the life of top bedding such as straw or sand.
